When to book a maternity photo-shoot?

Pregnancy is a special and unique event in every woman’s life. Love, anticipation, anxiety and miraculous body transformations all happen to prepare your body to deliver that beautiful baby and yourself to become the best mother they could have. Growing a little life inside of you, wondering what they will be like, and thinking about the moment when you will finally hold them in your arms is one of the best feelings a woman can ever experience. This incredible period in your life might also be the very last time when you can put yourself first; once the baby arrives, they will be the centre of the universe.

What better way to celebrate the fleeting moment of your pregnancy than a maternity photo-shoot to capture just the two of you for the last time before the baby arrives, but most importantly, to capture YOU and how AMAZINGLY STRONG and BEAUTIFUL your body is. Although incredibly excited and happy about their soon-to-be-born baby, a lot of mothers struggle to accept the significant changes their body goes through. This is why all pregnant women should treat themselves and glorify their strength and beauty with an artistic maternity photo-shoot. The elegant dresses available in my studio, combined with my little posing tips, will make you realise that you have never been more beautiful than you are right now. A great maternity shoot should EMPOWER you, and you totally DESERVE to have one.

The best time to have a maternity photo-shoot is between 28 and 36 weeks into the pregnancy. It shouldn’t be pushed too close to the delivery date, just in case the baby decides to come earlier. Also, the closer you are to the due date, the more uncomfortable you are going to feel, and your ankles and knees will swell. The sweet spot is around 30-33 weeks, when your body has already developed a beautiful pregnancy shape, your belly is big enough but not overwhelmingly so, and you still have plenty of energy to go through the shoot and have a great time. Some women are lucky enough to feel very good even after the 36th week of pregnancy, but they often have problems in mirroring typical maternity photo-shoot poses that help sculpt the body, such as shifting their weight into one hip, keeping the back straight, bending one of the legs, etc. In case you are expecting twins or triplets, the best time for you to do a maternity shoot is between 24 and 32 weeks.

The best time to book your photo-shoot is as soon as you get into your second trimester (18-20 weeks). Around this time, you would have already gotten the ultrasound. This gives you time to get ready and the flexibility to choose your preferred date and time for your maternity photo-shoot in my studio.
